Acne

There are multiple types of acne that can appear on our skin, the most well known being pustules and congestion, or white heads and blackheads. They can also present as inflamed and non inflamed acne, this changes the way that we treat it in the salon.

Back acne can be caused by a number of things. This client struggled with acne after she was pregnant with her first child, the hormonal acne became cystic. The treatment procedure for this type of acne was lactic peels and micro needling. The lactic peels help to bring hydration and cleanse out the areas of congestion, while the micro needling helps break up and heal the scarring that is a result of this acne.

Rosacea

Rosacea presents on the skin as redness and small red bumps that can be filled with pus. This characteristic can often be misdiagnosed as inflamed acne. Rosacea will be present on the cheek and nose area but can spread to your full face depending on the flare up.

Treatments that are recommended for rosacea are Dmk Enzyme therapy as it works alongside the microbiome of the skin and helps to create a better skin barrier.
