Immediately after an injury the cells in the skin trigger a healing response. Dermal Needling allows for controlled functioning of the skin’s self repair system by creating micro-injuries in the skin. This stimulates new collagen, yet does not pose the risk of permanent scarring. The result is smoother, firmer, more even toned and younger looking skin.
Our advanced training in skin and its structure has lead us to achieving phenomenal results in the way of scar revision, knowing how the skin works and understanding its ability to repair has given us many methods which we have tried and tested for reducing and even eliminating scars from the face and body. Whether they have been from an injury, post operative, acne scarring, burns and or stretch marks, using a combination of skin needling techniques and specific homecare your results can truly be life changing.

The concept of Dermal Needling is based on the skin’s natural ability to repair itself whenever it encounters an injury of some sort.
Immediately after an injury the cells in the skin trigger a healing response. Dermal Needling stimulates new collagen, yet does not pose the risk of permanent scarring.
The result is smoother, firmer, more even toned and younger looking skin.

After the treatment your skin will be red and flushed in appearance similar to a mild sunburn. The skin will also be tight and have mild sensitivity to touch. This will reduce significantly after a few hours post treatment and within the next 48 hours the skin will be completely healed.
After about 5 days there is hardly any evidence that the procedure has taken place. The length of downtime depends on the micro-needle size used for your treatment. You will be informed about you predicted downtime and given appropriate homecare advice to aid the healing time.

Dermal Needling is performed in a safe, hygienic environment with the use of sterile dermal rollers or a Dermapen.
Medical grade anaesthetic will be applied to your skin prior to needling to ensure comfort during the Needling. After numbing, the therapist will then roll the dermaroller along the skin to create micro wounds. These microscopic wounds stimulate new collagen deposition which may last for up to a year, yet they close within less than an hour.
